This year marks the 110th anniversary of the world’s longest-running minority newspaper, Jamanak, which has chronicled history since its first publication in Istanbul.
Just 322,438 visitors from Britain came to Istanbul in that time. Travel companies who run trips to the city think this is about to change though – they say that the political climate is much safer than now than in the past two years.
