IFLA World Library and Information Congress
78th IFLA General Conference and Assembly

Thanks God, it takes 4 stops by train to reach Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center from where I stay. I did check in and stayed around a bit to focus on issues and of course focus on my tomorrow?s presentation in this session:

I am excited to be sort of a discussant to SIVA VAIDHYANATHAN, the author of The Googlization of Everything

The panel will be Live Stream-ed. Just saw it. and now i am a bit more excited here.

In the Convention Center, the owner is Wok’n’Curry inside the congress building is very nice. You should stop to chat with at least;)

I so far had the fastest web connection in the congress center. The free wi-fi provided by OpenEdition.

the plug problem: I haven?t attended any talks yet, so i don?t know what looks like inside the meeting rooms. But in the main building, there are not many plugs to charge our laptops, it seems. I will see around more tomorrow.

You can follow the Twitter hashtag: #wlic2012

There is a page dedicated to conference?s social media presence.

I will probably provide notes from the meetings after I am done with mine. Let’s see…

By the way, A weekly transit pass ticket is a great goody…
