With its new leader, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the Republican People?s Party (CHP) has been in the midst of a transformation towards social democracy. Although many people find Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu cynical and do not trust what he says, at least the messages he is delivering indicate a possible transformation of the CHP?s old fashioned, neo-nationalist political discourse.
