Dans la région kurde, seuls deux partis sont capables d?attirer des foules : le parti kurde et l?AKP. La campagne pour le référendum du 12 septembre prochain ne déroge pas à la règle.  A Diyarbakir 10 000 personnes sont venues acclamer Recep Tayyip Erdogan au  meeting du 3 septembre,et elles étaient 50 000 deux jours plus tard à soutenir le BDP dans sa campagne pour le boycott.

Largely Muslim Turkey is split over a referendum on changes to the Constitution. Once again, critics warn of the secular state going Islamic. Prime Minister Erdogan needs to build trust among those who fear he and his religious party have a secret agenda.
