An Indian friend of mine sent me this visual that is circulating in the Indian X-sphere.

I checked out the official channels and could not find any evidence. Then I asked Perplexity:
There is still no confirmation that the Turkish Ministry of Tourism or any official Turkish government body released the statement shown in your image.
: Multiple reputable news sources, including Business Today and Economic Times, have reported on the viral circulation of this letter but explicitly state they could not independently verify its authenticity as an official government release24.
: The letter is widely shared on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, but always as a purported or alleged statement, not as a confirmed official document234.
: There is no evidence that this statement appears on any official Turkish government website or verified social media account. News reports consistently note the absence of an official source or press release24.
: Some media, like The New Indian Express and Financial Express, mention the statement as coming from the Department of Tourism, Ankara, and refer to it as a “formal notice” or “official word,” but they do not provide any direct link or evidence from an official Turkish government source56. These references appear to be based on the same viral image, not on an independently verifiable government release.
Conclusion
All major news outlets treat the letter as unverified and have not found it on any official Turkish government platform.
Until the statement appears on an official Turkish government website or verified account, it should be regarded as unconfirmed and potentially inauthentic.
In the meantime, this is REAL:
On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, India blocked access to the X (formerly Twitter) account of Turkish news outlet TRT World within India. This action was taken as part of a broader crackdown on foreign media accounts accused of spreading misinformation and propaganda against India’s national interests, particularly in the context of heightened tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent military operations between India and Pakistan123467.
When users in India attempted to access TRT World’s X account, they were met with a message stating the account had been withheld in India in response to a legal demand26. The ban was reportedly linked to TRT World’s coverage, which Indian authorities described as sympathetic to separatist elements and critical of India’s policies, as well as Turkey’s perceived support for Pakistan during the conflict267.
However, reports indicate that the block on TRT World’s X account was lifted within hours, and the account became accessible again in India, while some other accounts, such as Xinhua, remained blocked57.
