The CoE Committee of Ministers yesterday launched infringement proceedings against Turkey because of its failure to release Kavala despite an ECtHR verdict.
Jailed businessperson Osman Kavala has made a statement after the CoE decided to bring infringement proceedings against Turkey: “I find it important that the judicial practices followed to continue my detention are reviewed with an impartial eye.”
