A Turkish teenager who was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been released but still faces trial.
Mevlüt Saldoğan, the officer singled out by prosecutors as the main suspect, failed to attend the final hearing, citing medical grounds. The court said it will not be able to issue a verdict before taking his final defense
