I was waiting for the full results to write something about the March 30 local elections, but it took longer and longer amid widespread fraud allegations and suspicious acts. Turkey?s beleaguered Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Justice and Development Party (AKP) have emerged victorious from this week’s local elections. Still, the AKP’s triumph is unlikely to restore internal stability, much less revive Turkey’s tarnished international standing.
