Tea culture and telling jokes by satirist Nasreddin Hodja are two newmultinational values on UNESCO ’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage

I have become a coffee person in the last decade but no day passes without a glass of tea. I assume some very obscene jokes attributed to Hodja are not imagined to be on the list.

Türkiye has announced the inclusion of two multinational values on UNESCO ’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, tea culture as a symbol of “identity, hospitality and social interaction” and the tradition of telling jokes by satirist Nasreddin Hodja.
