
The Inflation Research Group (ENAG) has calculated Turkey’s annual consumer inflation rate as 142.63 percent while the official figure stands at 61.14 percent.

Shopkeepers are tired of listening to people’s problems and changing price tags and embarrassed to tell customers a price amid constantly rising prices. As for customers, they are desperate: “Some even ask the tare weight of plastic bags to be deducted”.
