Taxation rate and price increases in sanitary pads seem to be very misogynistic

Turkey taxes menstrual products by 18 percent, which makes them fall into the highest tax category. In the face of recent price increases, rights groups note that “the taxation on sanitary pads is a public health problem.”
In the face of recent price increases and 18-percent taxation on menstrual products, the Children and Women First Association has called on the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Trade to ensure that sanitary pads are provided free of charge.
