Three rights organizations have released a statement ahead of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe meeting, calling on the Committee to trigger infringement proceedings against Turkey for not implementing the ECtHR ruling on Kavala.
Having spent 4.5 years in prison and released in mid-April 2021, novelist and journalist Ahmet Altan has spoken to Yasemin Çongar. Altan also answered the question about why his novels are not published in Turkish: “Are you asking this to me?”
