Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has slammed an apparent consensus between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump on Syria, in which the two leaders said “no military solution is possible” in war-torn country. Erdoğan said that anyone who does not believe in a military solution in Syria “should pull their troops out.”
Turkey has “completed” the purchase of the S-400 air-defense system from Russia, Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli said on Nov. 11.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will meet on Nov. 13 in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi in Russia for their fifth meeting this year, with the Syrian crisis high on the agenda of talks.
Turkey has informed the Council of Europe that it is withdrawing from being one of the six major donors to the European body.
