Nowadays, AKP leadership is into different PR moves- like praising Atatürk. Musk’s appearance seems to be another one.
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a meeting with world-leading Silicon Valley technology and research entrepreneur Elon Musk on Nov. 8, a few days after the launch of a joint venture to produce the country’s first domestically-made car.
Elon Musk shared only two images from his Turkey visit, which was overwhelmingly loved by pro-Atatürk citizens:
UPDATE: Nov. 8, 2017, 1:16 p.m. EST Reuters reports that Elon Musk and Turkish President Erdogan met to explore potential “cooperation” between Tesla, SpaceX, and Turkish companies. The two discussed Turkey’s plans to launch satellites in 2020 and 2021, according to Erdogan’s spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, and also talked about the country’s efforts to develop an electric car.
