Media and Film Studies examinations in UK schools (GCSEs and A Levels) have been subjected to an extensive process of government ‘reform’ over the past couple of years. This process is now almost complete. While most examinations have been saved, there have been some very damaging changes along the way, which have significant implications for anyone teaching in HE.
