Turkey’s unemployment rate was announced at 12.6 percent in the February period, with a 1.7 percent year-on-year increase, official data showed on May 15.
Some 2.04 million young people aged between 15 and 19, about a third of Turkey’s young population, were reported to have left their education as of 2015, according a new study by Bahceşehir University’s Center for Economic and Social Research (Betam).
