2 days in Mersin….

I have spent 2 days in Mersin for a symposium last Thursday and Friday (12-13 November). Mersin University has an interdisciplinary doctoral program called Media, Culture and Urban Studies and I was one of the panelists discussing new media and rethinking public sphere. A group of nice and intellectually mature scholars support the program. It is nice to see intellectual islands in public universities all over Anatolia…
