Two books for the history of internet

One is a “proper” one with a very nice language:

A History of the Internet and the Digital Future

by Johnny Ryan. Especially the early histories parts are informative and fun to read. Not that later parts are worse, just that there is a flood of information for the very recent periods and too much reading I do. So I am sort of familiar. For beginners, this should be one of the must-reads.

Another one I am excitedly reading is

Underground: Tales of Hacking, Madness, and Obsession on the Electronic Frontier

This is one of early freely distributed books on the very history of early internet underground. It is like a novel but with a very thick description. Julian Assange had a touch on the book. A must read I would say..
