Taraf daily is doing it again. Since yesterday the paper released several documents that claim that army intelligence had known PKK’s Aktütün ambush in which 17 soldiers were killed.
According to mainstream press such as Hürriyet and Milliyet,
Gen. Başbuğ is angry because some documents are leaked and because he perceives that the news celebrated the PKK victory.
The latter is totally wrong. It demonstrates that intelligence works just fine. PKK ambush could easily be detected. If some army officials had worked fine like the intelligence itself, this ambush could not have happened.
The angry tone overshadows the fact that there might be a sort of misdeed on behalf of some army officials. A very grave misdeed in fact…
