Erkan in a tango club

Buy the tshirt here 🙂

I happened to stop by a tango club the day before yesterday. It is very unlikely for Erkan to do that but I was hanging out with a friend who dances there for a year now. She took me there for beer. Dear friends, there are at least two tango clubs in Taksim. Another friend who is a professional dancer in which seems to be the biggest Tango organization:Tangoist Tango Okulu

I haven’t been there. I have been to Tangojean.  I think it is fantastic for those who like to dance to have clubs like this one. I am pretty sure most of the male dancers are there for flirting but I respect that. In order to flirt, they learn a difficult dance. They have an effort.

As a metalhead, I stayed for a glass of beer and left the place immediately and continued to experiment with new metal albums. I don’t think I like nu metal too much but i still try some samples. I try now

Indestructible
~ Disturbed

My fascination with Flotsam and Jetsam continues. This always underrated thrash band has such a powerful sound. I met them with their No Place for Disgrace album when I was 14. This album still rules for me. It seems like no musical taste change after all years:) Gamma Ray’s Land Of The Free – Part II, on the other hand, is a great find for me in the power metal genre, a genre that makes me speeding when I drive. I should be more careful.

For those, who listen to more humane musical genres. I advise The Nightwatchman

The Nightwatchman is the alter-ego and solo act of Rage Against the Machine and ex-Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello, which he created in 2003 as an outlet for his political views while playing non political music with Audioslave……

Both of his albums are strongly recommended for all: One Man Revolution and The Fabled City

Erkan also tried a new drink:

Jägermeister (pronounced /YAY-gur-MAIST-ur/ in English; in German /?je?g??maist?/) is a German 70-proof digestif[1] made with herbs and spices. It is the flagship product of Mast-Jägermeister AG, headquartered in Wolfenbüttel, south of Braunschweig, Germany.Contrary to an urban legend, it does not contain deer or elk blood.[2]

I had a headache all night.

  1. I hope there’ a Tshirt ready, in 4 years, for surviving The Messiah. Of course, it will always be Bush fault…..
I would have suffered a double headache: Metal and Jagermeister.:))
    All the best, Erkan.:)

  2. Poor Erkan. Do they sell the awful stuff in Turkey now?!
Jägermeister in the 70th ran ads like I drink Jägermeister, because …
    My favourite:
I drink Jägermeister because my dealer’s in jail.

  3. Erkan , the proper Turkish pronunciation would be YEgır-maistır. I did not know how ?hipp? that stuff is worldwide ? 75% is sold abroad, biggest part in the US. My son told me that it is also sold in German Discos. To me it sounded so far like a drink of old peasants in a village pub?

  4. Jägermeister is sold in Turkey but not that popular. In fact, it is not known much but a friend of mine is determined to spread the word (!). I will have it tested by Çetin who has become a better drinker than I am.
