Nostalgia tour in Houston continues

Oh this lovely BBQ place (!)

Sinem and I had dinner at Goode Company, where I had the taste of beef brisket for the first time! It should be 20 years ago.

We had a lovely outing and had seafood with Julie and her friend Amir in Galveston. It is lovely to catch up with Julie after 15 years.

If Julie had not shown this mural, I would have missed it. Now I know where the Juneteenth debates originated.

The only place I haven’t visited is the Rice Village neighborhood, where I spent my last year during Rice years.

Well, I will have a few museum visits I have never done before. I have to check with car rentals, our next station- CA visit- etc. And we are very thankful to Ayhan Yüce, my age-old businessman friend based in Houston for providing an apartment in Houston’s upscale district, Post Oak.
