Kılıçdaroğlu slams government over Kurdish singer’s canceled concert, midnight music ban
CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu shared the artist’s song “Dar Hejiroke” after the local administration canceled Aynur Doğan’s concert.
Doğan lost her life on May 11 in Germany, where she was in exile and receiving cancer treatment.
The mural was removed hours after it was shared on Twitter. The municipality or the museum administration have not yet made a statement about the issue.
Outrage in Turkey’s ‘student city’ after governor bans music festival for no reason
The festival was going to be the largest event in Eskişehir since the start of the pandemic. Thousands of people tweeted under the hashtag “Don’t touch my festival” to protest the decision.
