Social media users lashed out at the ruling party after reports that shops that are allowed to stay open during curfews are banned from selling alcoholic drinks.
The new restriction has been imposed to “protect children’s development.”
According to the Press in Arrest report, in the trials concerning these 40 journalists, the prosecutor’s offices demanded 2 aggravated life sentences and a total of 201 years, 4 months to 497 years 2 months in prison.
Several platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube have been fined 3.8 million dollars for failing to comply with the social media law.
