Busy week with course registrations and Social Media Week

(from L to R) Haluk Şahin, Erkan Saka and Serhat Ayan

This week is the course registration week and we are supposed to be in the office all day all week. Well, I still miss the early hours, but students can reach me in myriad ways and sometimes a phone call from a student wakes me up. Because of registrations I could not attend the Social Media Week activities except my own ones. Yesterday, I was a substitute moderator in a panel about social media and journalism. Veteran TV journalist and communications scholar Haluk Şahin honored the panel along with Serhat Ayan who was involved in editing Milliyet‘s online edition. Then I and my colleague Aslı Telli had our own panel on collective intelligence and social media and potentials in Turkish cases. There should be photos uploaded in SMW Istanbul events here. And the official site is for Social Media Week here. And why have I posted this? Because of my anxiety that there are many postings in the last few days:) Unfortunately contributors to the blog seem to be busy, too:)
