I wasn’t sure if I could make it to get my visa on time but that was resolved and tomorrow morning I fly to Brussels. I will then move to Ghent where EUPRERA’s spring symposium takes place. All details about the event can be found in their website. This year’s theme is “Social Media Go Mainstream”. I will miss the morning session but then I will be around. My co-presentation with Alenka Jelen will take place on Friday afternoon:
Alenka Jelen (University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK), Erkan Saka (Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey), ?Social Mediation of Higher Education: The public visibility and ?celebrification? of academia in the cyberspace.?
I am also a jury member in Social Media Awards where PR student works related to social media will be awarded.
Just before another trip, I have the usual melancholy but there is an MA class to happen in 15 minutes. That might cheer me up:)
