Elif is the first of Erkan’s Field Diary’s regular guest authors. Check out her posts here.

Elif’s bio in her own words here:

“I used to prefer to introduce myself with just a few words as ‘just an ordinary person who loves to write’ but in these days that kind of ‘identifications’ tend to belong to people who desires to introduce themselves as ‘uncommon’  and ‘cool’. So I need to summarize what I have experienced till today.

I was born in 1988 in Edirne which a city at the Northwest of the Turkey and at the border of Greece and I lived there until I was 9 when I started at Darüşşafaka, one of the biggest education institutions and after 9 years of education I became an undergraduate student  at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Public Relations department. There I met with Erkan Saka as my lecturer and I graduated from the program with the highest department degree.

As a graduation project I worked on the effect of the political discourse on voting and the article was published in an academic journal prepared by Marmara University Press.

I also worked for Bilgi University Press, in a youth magazine as a reporter and an as an editor in the magazine’s daily news website during my undergraduate years now I am working as a web editor in a national daily newspaper.”

Apart from these, I have a blog (elifsudagezer.blogspot.com) in which I write about Turkey, politics, current events and things I detect.

And now I’m officially a graduate student at the MA program of Media and Communication Systems at Istanbul Bilgi University.
