RADIKAL Smoking kills more in Turkey An estimated 18,479 people are diagnosed with liver cancer each year in Turkey, the daily Radikal reported yesterday. Research has indicated that the cause of 91.5 percent of those cancer cases is smoking. Another major cause of cancer is whitewash, a type of inexpensive paint made from slaked lime that contains asbestos.
