Europe's reports on Turkey

Today the European Commission will release its annual progress report on Turkey. The report is a performance record of candidate countries on their way to the European Union  membership. These reports are quite comprehensive. Preparations take months. Broader versions than what is revealed to the public are kept in Brussels and constitute the basis for the future works of the Commission. This year's report is the 10th published by the Commission. When compared to the first report published in 1998, we have valuable clues on the Commission's information about Turkey and the progress Turkey made so far. We learn each other through progress reports!
