"Malaysia cracks down on bloggers
The Malaysian government has warned it could use tough anti-terrorism laws against bloggers who insult Islam or the country's king.
MEETING WITH TURKISH BLOGGERS
It is already old news, unfortunately i haven't blogged about it before. a while ago Türk Blog Yazarları network met in Taksim. I was late and missed some of the juicy part but it was reported here and here at least. There is a video and tons of photos. Well, most of the attendants were real tech-savvy people where I felt technologically primitive. Think of the rest:) As far as I know, this is the third big network that focuses on Turkish bloggers. Blog Kardeşliği looks like the biggest one which is followed by Bloglar Alemi. Then comes the Türk Blog Yazarları... (or it already passed the others? possible...)
That's real pity by the way:
Lives of Others actor dies; Ulrich Muehe, the star of Oscar-winning German film The Lives of Others, dies at the age of 54.
Comments
Since 40% of the Malysian population is Christian, Hindu or Buddhist, is this law also against insulting those religions...just a simple question...
