Interview #24: Taha Akyol (plus int.s 20-23)
I interviewed Taha Akyol in his office at CNN-TURK today. He is one of most senior columnists of Turkish press. At the moment he regularly writes for Milliyet and produces a weekly political interview/commentary program for CNN-TURK. He is also the vice president of the latter at the moment.
Mr Akyol gave me his autographed book. That's a selection of his published articles that were related to EU-TR relations...

Interview #23: A bureaucrat in Ankara
Article 657 does not allow civil servants to talk to the press and public openly. So i cannot disclose his/her name here though the interview took place for exclusively academic purposes.
I got slow again in doing interviews and this recently makes me anxious. The target No#40 until April seems to be impossible at the moment:( But my dissertation writing plan did not change yet. I will declare my 2007 writing plan soon...

Interview #22: Oğuz Demiralp
On Monday I had conducted an interview with, Oğuz Demiralp, the head of General Secretariat for European Union Relations of Turkish Prime Ministry. So far, this was politically the highest profile interview. I am grateful to him for accepting me, talking sincerely and helping me for further contacts. Mr. Demiralp is also an award winner literary critic! Since his undergraduate years, he has been writing and contributing to the studies of Turkish literature. Therefore I had the courage to give him all issues of Milli İstirahat.

Interview #21: Sami Kohen

Another gentleman of Turkish Journalism. A senior foreign affairs columnist of the Turkish Press. He has been writing in Milliyet since the beginning of the newspaper! That is, he has been a columnist since 1955 in the same newspaper writes five days a week... The interview took place in his office at Milliyet.
