Ferec is the first heavy metal band who sing all in Kurdish. The band members currently live in a Kurdish city called as Colêmerg (Hakkari) in Turkish frontiers. The album is just published in november 2009. The band took stage in some of the biggest rock festivals in different regions in Turkey as well.

Time magazine, the American news magazine that’s basically a US institution, have included Mastodon’s ‘Crack the Skye’ in their top 10 albums of 2009! The album rides high at number 3 in their top 10 albums of the year (a whole 7 places above Lady Gaga), with the magazine describing the album as “sonically unforgettable”. As the decade comes to a close, 2009 wraps it up in strong fashion. Most of the bands in this year’s top 20 have been plying their trade for a while, with a few younger bands cracking the countdown.
