Turkey’s justice minister says as many as 1,845 cases have been opened against people accused of insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan since he came to office in 2014.

 

Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ has stated that the Justice Ministry has issued prosecution warrants for 1,845 libel suits with the content of “defaming the President”. He has added; “I turn red in the face”.
