A Turkish Twitter user was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Thursday ? for using a handle that was deemed religiously offensive.

Lobna Allami was protesting against the Turkish government in Gezi Park in central Istanbul in 2013 when she was hit on her head by a tear gas capsule. Following three operations, she is now learning to speak again.
